Originally built in West Sussex by Phil Moules, the car has covered many a mile since; Built in a Mustard yellow and sporting a blown V6, it was in this guise it was a trophy winner at Ally Pally Extreme Wheels show.
Shoreham 1986
The car made its way all over the south and into London for the once great Chelsea Cruise, this shot shows off the V6 just beautifully. Love or hate the colour, a lot of effort went into the blower detailing and the presentation of the rod at this time. Check out the headers.
Sometime between 1986 and 1989, the rod got a serious makeover turning black with a big block for a while then back into yellow again as these two shots taken at Hickstead in 1988 and out and about on a run somewhere in 89 show off (note the mustard chassis rails belying the traditional black);

Now fast forward ten years or so and from blown V6 to Blown BBC to its current configuration of a normally aspirated 350 SBC. And yet more paint, this time into turquoise and some serious purple scallops.
Still keeping true to the date it was built, the little rod has a very traditional Brit Rod set up; Viva front clip, AVO dampers with Magnum springs, a Firenza 2.3 anti roll bar; a Jag IRS with more AVO dampers with the aforementioned 350 Chevy, built with a mild GM street cam an Edlebrock dual plane manifold with a Holley 600 on top.
Seen here showing a sharp looking 55 the short route down the 1/8th at the Outlaws Picnic on Bovingdon Airfield in September 2007...

A close up of the scallops and darn fine it looks too. Note the 'new' bonnet and cut out engine covers showing off the detailed motor and heralding the end of the blower era!
Finally, here is the car burning out and getting ready to stage at Shakey in 2008 as it stands today.

70 years old, 30 as a Hot Rod, these photos taken along the way tell a great story, long may it ride!
